The secret life of my scar

It's been a couple of months now since my skin cancer surgery. My scar looks only moderately improved from a month ago, though now it mostly lurks under my bangs with my new hairstyle.

It is still surprisingly tender to any pressure, but I'm OK now wearing a swim cap. Some days I don't feel my scar all; other days it itches. I am hoping the itchy days means it's doing some healing. Every night, I go through the ReJuveness routine, but I don't have any real way of evaluating of efficacy of this. Since there isn't much physical change in the appearance--at least so far--I don't know if it's healing or not.

So my scar continues on, living its own life atop my forehead....

I was just wondering about the progress of your scar. I am so super impatient with that kind of thing... Hope the ReJuveness thing is working slowly, yet surely.

You know... it might also not change for you since you are seeing it everyday and you are able to examine it as closely as you want in the mirror for as long as you want! Give it time...

Hi Reesie, it's only been six weeks with ReJeveness; they say it can take months before improvement is visible. I'm sticking with the routine and not getting too worked up about it, since it's still quite early in the life of my scar. I also switched to a more medium-coverage foundation, which is working out great -- it gives me some more coverage without looking like an obvious camouflage attempt. So between that and the new 'do I know it's hardly noticeable when I'm out and about. I am surprised that I still have some itchiness and tenderness--but I am sure that will go away with time...
