Presentation overload
Last month, I prevailed upon my co-workers to sit through two separate rehearsals of my presentation for this year's Usability Professionals Association conference. The conference, though not until June, required final materials to be submitted for the proceedings last week. I did both rehearsals over lunch (getting a bunch of great feedback) and brought in some homemade dessert treats as a bit of a lure.
This month, I'm presenting at the local chapter of SIG-CHI -- it's another brand-new presentation -- on a topic that I'm hoping to present at the international conference in 2008. I did my first rehearsal of it today over lunch and again got lots of good feedback. But, the presentation needs work. And another rehearsal.
I'll
be glad when this presentation is wrapped-up...It's just a lot of
creative energy to produce both of these (on separate
topics) within such a short time-frame of each other.
