Odds 'n ends
- Looks like Coach Amy had a great, evenly-paced go at Kona, finishing in 12:12:35. Hope she is doing OK today - Ironman racing is so hard on your body.
- My seed-sitch scarf is knitting up beautifully. I've got about 2 1/2 feet of it done - enough to kind of wrap it around my neck and preview it. Even Drake is kind of exciting about the scarf!
- Yesterday afternoon, my incision started to bother me and by evening I was ready to go back to the Vicodin. All looks fine with it (no sign of infection) - but I wound up taking 2 Vicodin to take the edge off last night. I feel better this morning.
- My normally trim tummy is still missing in action. In its place is a poofy tummy - one that makes me look a little pregnant and that will prevent me from getting into any of my work pants. I may need to buy some elastic-waist pants to get me by at work next week. Wished I had thought of this ahead of time.
- Today, my cousin is coming over with a care package from the University Farmer's Market: roasted peppers from Billy's. In the fall, Billy sets up a huge roaster at the Market and sells freshly-roasted peppers. Mmmmm.
