My Dad Sounds Good
I talked to my Dad this afternoon - the day after his first chemotherapy treatment. It all went fine - no major side effects - and he remains in great spirits.
They are still concerned about his weight loss, though. He's taking a nutritional supplement with each meal so hopefully that will help him put on some pounds.

Your iBook will really lift his spirits. I hope he'll be able to take the full course of Taxotere. It's supposed to be a great drug, but I became allergic to it on my second cycle. The bone pain can be pretty horrific and I found massage to really help. The nausea shouldn't be too bad so hopefully he can eat---really important to keep his strength up. (I have Stage IV cancer as well, so it's in my bones too)
I wish you and your Dad the best. Hang in there---it'll be a long battle.
