Lorraine Hunt Lieberson dies
This is such a terrible loss. She was 52.
In 2003, we had gone to New York to see Les Troyen with her in the role of Dido (shown in the photo from NPR). But, she had to withdraw from the production and we saw Michelle DeYoung in the role instead.

I suspected she was gravely ill when it was recently announced she had canceled all her 2006 performances.
