I love these flip-flops
I work right upstairs from a running store that also has a small selection of general sporting-type products. I had been eying these flip-flops for a couple of months, but decided to wait until the store had their anniversary sale to buy them.
The first thing you do is bake them in a 225F oven for 3 minutes, then stand on them, with weight equally distributed, for 2 minutes to mold them to your foot. Then, while they are still slightly warm, you walk around on them to mold them a bit to your toes.
The result is pure foot heaven! These are available for guys, too. I am very tempted to buy a pair for Drake (even though that would make us kind of twinsy).

cool- they're like high-tech Birkenstocks.
I hope that's 225F cuz 225C would just be plain CRAZY. Besides, I'm not sure many foams would be okay at 225C.
That is so cool about molding to your foot. How awesome!
Oh, yes, should have put in the "F" after 225. I was actually a little nervous putting them in the oven - just seems funny - shoes in the oven. But it worked great.
I wonder if you could do this with other sandals too... This whole thing reminds me of hockey boots. People used to take out the inner boot, soak it in hot water, and then put it on to mold it to the foot. Makes for a great fit!
I'm going to look into these sandals now. I usually wear Clark's leather sandals, but something that's this comfy and light could be an option too!
I'm not sure how well this would work with other sandals - I think the material on these is specifically designed to be thermo-molded. It's funny because this year I had custom insoles made for my ski boots. It was a much more involved process, but still the same idea of molding to your foot. It's amazing what a difference the custom fit made.
