I'll be back in the office Monday. I took the picture with the dressing off, but I need to keep the incision covered for at least 10 days. Yeah, it's pretty awful, but there's not much I can do. Just got to wait it out and let it heal.
My mom had some pretty extensive surgery on her nose - with the long row of black stitches - and now you can barely tell anything was done. You really don't notice unless you are looking for it.
Thanks Nancy. A coworker's father had surgery very similar to mine (on his forehead) and he also said the same thing. Really not very noticeable now. So I am optimistic for an (ultimately) good outcome.
Yowza! Now, if you'd had the surgery before halloween you would have had a ready-made costume. It is amazing how they can minimise scarring these days though. I'm sure you will be back to your beautiful self in no time. Are they confident they got it all?
