File transferring in progress...

Last night, Drake stayed up and got the new iMac set up on my desk. I had carefully measured before purchasing, so I had an idea of the overall footprint. But, when I got up this morning and actually saw it on my desk... it is enormous. My (soon-to-be-former) 17" iMac looks tiny compared to the new (24") machine--and Drake's 15" iMac (soon-to-be-his-mother's) looks positively miniature. All lined up together it's kind of a Mac version of the Three Bears, with one very large Papa Bear.

But I am already excited about the potential of all that screen real estate, particularly for photo work and mind-mapping. I've still got a couple of hours to go on the file transfer (using Migration Assistant) so in the mean time I'm doing house chores while keeping an eye on progress.
