Dad's gone

My blog has been quiet because my Dad passed away on September 10. I was there with him and stayed on in Chicago through the visitation and memorial service, which were Sept. 21 and 22, respectively.

It's been a long summer-- a very long haul for my Dad and his wife Carol.

I'll be writing more later; right now I'm trying to settle back into being home.

I'm so sorry about you losing your Dad, but glad that you were able to be there with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you can find some peace now that he is no longer suffering.
